When she revealed the source of the pain, hurt, confusion and trials, suddenly it became clear to that these episodes of abuse were a tremendously defining event in her life. It had altered her personality, growth and joy for the rest of her life. Our marriage and family was in shambles now, by and large, as the result of the snowballing of twisted reality that she lived with everyday. But now it was time… She could not fight it alone. Each time she tried she was swallowed more and more. So it was time for me to fight. So began another long and hard road, but this time it had purpose, focus and guidance.
