From Covert Incest’s Mission Statement:  “Our mission is to prevent covert incest from being passed on to successive generations by educating the public and providing services to those who are too close to a parent. We intend to make covert incest a household term by releasing statements to the media, distributing literature, and participating in local events, and we seek to build a network of mental health professionals and support groups where survivors of covert incest can receive assistance in separating from a parent.”
