This site is designed for researchers and students who want a quick way to generate random numbers or assign participants to experimental conditions.

I found this site completely by random! Actually that isn’t true, but I wish it were given the nature of the site. Research Randomizer is exactly what I believe Psychology needs in terms of websites; a simple focused application that solves a very specific problem and does it elegantly. Research randomizer produces sets of random numbers that addresses three goals of randomization. – random assignment of subjects to conditions, random sampling from a larger group and random ordering or items. The program runs entirely online, and you can print the results from the web-page or download in an Excel file. I don’t need to say any more than this because it is that simple. Check out their tutorial to see examples of the randomizer in action.

Hey Gareth, Just found you whilst popping into staff psychologist’s blog. You’ve got a great site here and I’ll feature it on my blog roll just as soon as I work out how to create one! You’re now in my ‘favourites’, so I’ll be back regularly.
Good to see another Aussie psych blogger. An interesting breed no doubt…
Thanks for the nice comments Alison. I am really glad you stopped by and look forward to having you back. Ill add your blog to the live blogroll and give you a link from the front page also. I would be chuffed if you could link from your site (which looks great by the way). I too am quite new to the blogging game and it usually takes me a while to work out how to make changes to my blog.
